Holiday Haul: Part 1 Nail Polish

I have decided to break up my mahoosive holiday haul into categories, ie nails, lips, cheeks etc. So first up are the nail polishes. I am undoubtebly a nail polish junkie as much as a makeup junkie. So i did go a little polish crazy, but as they say when on holidays, all is forgiven. Actually that's what I say to justify my purchases.

I have to lament, what is up with the Asian beauty brands and not naming their polishes. Its all boring numbers, i mean come on how the hell am i gonna remember them. The packaging is adorable but no cute name to go with it, so slightly dissapointed there. Anyways stay tuned for a whole lot of NOTD's with my new babies:)

I saw Foster the People live!!!! I love this band, actually no, I am obsessed with them and if you haven't heard of them go check them out on YouTube now.
Onto the makeup then shall we. For some reason i really wanted a bright bold lip. I actually really like this lip colour. It's a Wet n Wild shade i picked up from a legit eBay seller and i have to say it really stayed put throughout the whole nite even after drinking a lot of wine ;)
In fact it kinda stains your lip what is with me and stains, but i love it.

NOTD- Sally Hansen Fairy Teal

I'm back from my holiday with a little rant.
Prior to leaving, i actualy had this nail polish on so technically its not a nail of the day but more of a nail of the past month.
Anyways, i hate it! Why, u ask. The colour is a gorgeous teal but this nail polish stains! Even after 5 weeks, there is a slight visible stain on my nails. I fear i may be never be able to go bare nailed again! I mean it's a lovely shade and all but if this is the results it gives, no way am i wearing this range of Sally Hansen nail polish. I've never had this problem with any brand of polish, so i was and am dissapointed and upset. #firstworldproblems

Is this only with this particular shade or do all of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure range do this? Anyone with similar experiences?

NOTD- Topshop Art School

So my mom and I decided to do some shopping a day after i arrived in Malaysia and of course i had to head to Topshop. Now i know they've just opened one in Melbourne but Malaysia has had a Topshop now for quite some time. I always have to pay a visit when i'm back for holidays as i love the fashion and more recently been wanting to try the makeup.
Now this is the first time I've actually seen the makeup in person and i was so excited! In fact i headed straight to the makeup stand the moment i walked in and went swatch crazy. Unfortunately, they did not have any cream blushers that i wanted, but they did have some awesome nail colours and i snagged myself a few.

Art School is a pinky coral thats a cream finish. I really love coral polish on my skintone, it definitely looks great with a tan and since being in Malaysia i have really gotten a tan.  Some pros about TopShop nail polishes; this is day 5 of my manicure and it's still going strong, im quite impressed!. And the packaging, how cute is that! ok enough with the gushing.
One con i have to say, it's a tiny bottle. I was expecting a little more but hey who ever finishes a whole nail polish bottle, I for one have never;)

This is a continuation of more Revlon Lip butters that i picked up after making my first purchase. Yes i did go a little nuts with these lippies *hides face in shame*. But i love them:)
These i would say are some of the brighter shades. Lollipop is definitely a lip colour that is way out of my comfort zone but u know what, new year, new resolutions. I'm gonna try rock this baby!

Mineralize Me

Mineralized eyeshadows, i've always stayed away from them. In fact up until purchasing these babies i had none in my collection. I always heard bad reviews regarding pigmentation and so i always thought twice about making a purchase. That was until i swatched some at the Mac store on a recent shopping trip.

First up, they look gorgeous in the pan. There's no denying that. A swirl of colours running through a main shade makes them look like mini galaxies. It's like they call out to you, swatch me Priyanka swatch me. So i did and i gasped. Man are they pretty awesome. No sign of pigmentation problem here. You can use these eyeshadows both wet and dry, and i was already impressed with the dry swatch so there was no doubt there that i was making a purchase.

Snow Season, Fresh Ice
The two that i picked up are from the recent Mac Glitter and Ice collection. I picked these 2 shades specifically as inner corner and browbone highlight colours as i thought they were just perfect for that.
Snow Season and Fresh Ice swatched dry

Holiday Nail Polishes

First post of the year! Yes i've been bad *please forgive the lack of updates*. I have no excuses. Anyways as a first post of the year i thought  i would run through the nail polishes i brought along with me on my holiday in Malaysia. I guess you could say if i had to pick, keyword being HAD, these are the colours that i would choose to bring along on my vacation from my crazy nail polish collection.

L to R: Opi Mermaids Tears, Designer...De Better!, Eyeko Coral, Essie Sand Tropez, Opi Rumples Wiggin, Barry M Peach Melba
I think i managed to pick a good range of shades and finishes. There's a nude, some brights and of course a shimmer polish that can be used on its own or as a top coat to jazz up any other shade. I also knew I would be picking up a few more nail polishes * can we all say nail polish junkie*, so i did try to pack lightly;)

Currently on my nails i'm rocking Opi Rumples Wiggin which is a gorgeous soft  lilac shade. I've been really loving these soft pastel shades recently and when i get bored, i just add some glitter/shimmer to it and my manicure last another week!

What are you favourite holiday nail polishes?
