So the box arrived on a Friday and i was so eager to unbox it and check out the goodies that came with it. Now bear in mind i have yet to try out the products so this is a first impression based on just unboxing it.
Packaging, just gorgeous. The outer box has the company logo embossed in pink over a black background and when opened up all the goodies come in a cute pink box. Now pink and i go a long way back, so plus points there for me.
When opened, you get a pretty little card explaining about all the products inside which are wrapped around a bow. Everything was so pretty and cute and of course fit in perfectly with the Valentines theme.
So the products i received this month were:
Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm
Proactiv Deep Cleansing Wash
Face of Australia Mineral Lip Shine in Beach House
Palmers Skin Therapy Oil with Rosehip
Star and Rose Floral Wonderland Emergency Nail Files
There was also some Love Heart Sweets with cute messages that ties in with the whole Valentines theme as well as two discount cards, one for a $20 discount on Proactiv products and another $15 offer on activeskin.com.au using the code GLOSSY15
So my thoughts:
For my first venture into the land of beauty sample boxes honestly i'm not vowed but neither am i dissapointed. I am excited about the Face of Australia lippy and the mini emergency nail files *uber cute* but thats about it. I have to admit the Palmers Oil does intrigue me and i am keen to try it. I appreciate the discount coupons but i kinda want more products instead of coupons, after all that's the whole reason to a beauty sample box i would think.
If your interested in these sample beauty boxes check out Glossybox for more information.
Did you get this months Glossy Box? What are your thoughts?

I live in Australia and I haven't subscribed to any of the beauty boxes because it seems like they place too much of a focus on drug store products (a bit like the box you received, unfortunately >_<). The reason beauty boxes were created, over seas and here, were for consumers to try out deluxe/luxury samples - i.e. high end products! Paying $15 a month for a variety of products you could easily find in your Priceline just isn't for me. I'd rather have $15 to spend in Priceline where I can choose the products I want instead. A bit of a harsh opinion, maybe? :S Lovely blog btw :) x
ReplyDeleteI do agree with you. I for one would like more makeup products instead of skincare etc. So far i have yet to sign up with any beauty sampler company for that reason as the makeup products haven't seem to impress me. I would rather fork out the cash on the actual product than trying out a few small samples that i may not even like to begin with.
