Butter Me Up

I did go a teensy bit crazy, I'm pretty sure that's what your thinking, but wait hear me out. There was a good reason for this. Ozsale was having a sale on Butter London nail polishes for $14 AUD each, how could i say no!  don't answer that

Here's what i picked up

Macbeth, Trout Pout, Jaffa, Artful Dodger
Marrow, Toff, Queen Vic, Scoundrel
Scoundrel
My thoughts;
Where have you been all my life Butter London??? These are definitely luxe polishes in my book, maybe cause i did get them for much cheaper than what they normally are, around $22AUD i have a greater love for them but seriously in all honesty, they are amazeballs for lack of a better word *excuse the vocab*

Opaque, vibrant, long lasting i.e minimal tip wear and lasted 4 days no chipping. Gorgeous shades and just a joy to apply. One con i have to say is i wish the brush was slightly wider, it's a little narrow for my liking but hey everything else outweighs that.

Have you tired Butter London polishes?

Holiday Haul: Part 1 Nail Polish

I have decided to break up my mahoosive holiday haul into categories, ie nails, lips, cheeks etc. So first up are the nail polishes. I am undoubtebly a nail polish junkie as much as a makeup junkie. So i did go a little polish crazy, but as they say when on holidays, all is forgiven. Actually that's what I say to justify my purchases.

I have to lament, what is up with the Asian beauty brands and not naming their polishes. Its all boring numbers, i mean come on how the hell am i gonna remember them. The packaging is adorable but no cute name to go with it, so slightly dissapointed there. Anyways stay tuned for a whole lot of NOTD's with my new babies:)

Holiday Nail Polishes

First post of the year! Yes i've been bad *please forgive the lack of updates*. I have no excuses. Anyways as a first post of the year i thought  i would run through the nail polishes i brought along with me on my holiday in Malaysia. I guess you could say if i had to pick, keyword being HAD, these are the colours that i would choose to bring along on my vacation from my crazy nail polish collection.

L to R: Opi Mermaids Tears, Designer...De Better!, Eyeko Coral, Essie Sand Tropez, Opi Rumples Wiggin, Barry M Peach Melba
I think i managed to pick a good range of shades and finishes. There's a nude, some brights and of course a shimmer polish that can be used on its own or as a top coat to jazz up any other shade. I also knew I would be picking up a few more nail polishes * can we all say nail polish junkie*, so i did try to pack lightly;)

Currently on my nails i'm rocking Opi Rumples Wiggin which is a gorgeous soft  lilac shade. I've been really loving these soft pastel shades recently and when i get bored, i just add some glitter/shimmer to it and my manicure last another week!

What are you favourite holiday nail polishes?

Seduced By the Glitter Gods

So as mentioned in a previous post, I have been seduced by the Glitter Gods of nail polish. In other words i kinda went nuts on some shimmery/glittery nail polishes. It started off with Excuse Moi from the Opi Muppets collection and i thought that would be it. But oh no, was i wrong.

Enabled by several nail bloggers with their gorgeous swatches of beautiful glitter polishes, namely from the Muppets collection I kinda went nuts. All though Designer de, Better! and Warm and Fozzie aren't chunky glitter polishes, they're more of fine glitter particles that are gorgeous in different lighting. And yes i did have to finally pick up Teenage Dream, i must be the last person on earth, It's out of this world i admit, simply stunning.

Opi Excuse Moi, Designer de, Better!, Warm and Fozzie, Teenage Dreams

Btw i'm done with uni for 7 weeks!!!!So i shall hopefully be back to regular postings and catching up on my fav blogs that i've missed out on so many post. Till then xox

Nail Polish Crazy

I have sinned once again, but this time I have a good excuse. This massive nail polish haul was an anniversary gift from the boyfriend so its justified ;)
I've been wanting to get my hands on a few of the new collections and he thought that would make a perfect gift. I couldn't say no could I? So I placed an order with beautyzone2007 . I have always purchased the bulk of my nail polishes from her and never had any issues. I do have to mention that My Essie nail polish in Sew Psyched did arrive broken with this order. But a quick email to her and she said she would send me a replacement asap. Also the shipping for this order took literally 5 days.AMAZING!!
I also had to pick up 2 SportsGirl nail polishes when I was browsing through the store, cause i'm a nail junkie like that!

Are We There Yet, Hot And Spicy, Mod About You

Trendsetter, Life Preserver, Westside Warrior, Brownstone

Ink, Bright Now, Too Too Hot, Carry On, Meet Me At Sunset
Can you tell I seem to have an obsession with coral colours;)

What have you been hauling lately?

Long Weekend Haulin'

I admit I am easily influenced by various bbloggers/youtubers when it comes to making beauty purchases. So when Lilit from Makeup and Macaroons mentioned that you could pick up China glaze nail polishes in Sydney for less than $10, my heart skipped a beat. I mentioned this to my lovely boyfriend and the minute I arrived at central from newy I dragged him to the city in search of  this wonderful place. Btw if your wondering this wonderful place im talkin about is SA Hair Supplies

Afterglow, Shocking Pink, Solar Power, Fifth Avenue, Your Touch, Avalanche

But wait, the hauling doesn't end there..nooo..I was reading Anita's blogpost about the new Cover Girl lippys that have just come to Australia.  It just so happens I passed by a Priceline on the way to SA beauty supply so obviously I had to go in, rite:)

Feline, Rapture, Darling
Priceline was having their Pink Dot sales and Bourjois was 50 % off everything. This was my chance to try out a few products as their usually really expensive for drugstore makeup.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation 55, Beige Elegant, Rose Corset

So that's my mini little haul...maybe I should stop watching/reading beauty blogs for a little while...what do you think?

Winter Nail Polish Picks

I love nail polishes, actually i'm a little bit obsessed. So i thought I would share my love/obsession of these gorgeous nail polishes with you and up a post on my top winter picks.

Now there is no rule when it comes to what colour nails you have on at different seasons. If you feel like rocking a bright yellow polish in winter, you should! However these are a few colours that I personally think would look gorgeous in the winter, not saying I wont use them anytime else.

China Glaze-Below Deck, Zoya-Caitlin, Milani-Teddy Bare, Barry M-Bright Purple, Sally Hansen- Mocha Mix

CG Below Deck- love in a bottle..a gorgeous taupe brown that can pull purple in some lights...simply gorgeous.

Zoya Caitlin -  a periwinkle blue with grey undertones, I love these sort of colours anytime of the year actually.

Milani Teddy Bare - this is apparently a dupe to Chanel Particuliere.  A browny grey polish, makes me feel very mature when i have this on.

Barry M Bright Purple- these babies are so inexpensive and extremely pigmented, all you need is 1 coat and your done..highly recommend Barry M nail paints. This gives a nice pop of color and looks gorgeous on short nails.

Sally Hansen Mocha Mix - this color reminds me of a cup of hot cocoa and some marshmallows..*i'm nuts* ..i guess it screams winter to me.

What are your winter nail picks?

NOTD-Sally Hansen Bamboo Shoot

I was looking for an off white colour, something with pink undertones and I came across this nail polish in Priceline which I seem to have an obsession with. It only cost $9.95 which is pretty affordable for 'drugstore' nail polish in Australia so I picked it up.

Now this nail polish is definitely not opaque, you need about 3 coats or more to get it to be really opaque. It also applies streaky so be wary of this. That being said, I have a heap of other Sally Hansen nail polishes from this line, the Hard as Nails Extreme Wear range and I love them. The darker colours apply much better and only need max 2 coats.

Despite it all I still like the colour, it makes my hands look clean and fresh.
Have you tried the nail polishes from this line? How did you find them?

Confession Time!!

Confession....I am obsessed I mean OBSESSED with nail polish at the moment. I'm sure there's been a point when your obsessed with one beauty product and you just can't get enough of it. Well for me it's nail polish at the moment...I say this because I know eventually I will get over it and my obsession will shift to something else...typical Priyanka behaviour I say.
So back to my obsession ...I picked up several, ok maybe more than several polishes online and am so ecstatic about them that I had to share, so here goes

Zoya: Jules,Marley,Gemma OPI: Not Like the Movies

Zoya: Dove,Caitlin,Danii
China Glaze: Pelican Gray, Sea Spray, Below Deck
China Glaze: Agent Lavender, Recycle and Something Sweet
I love love loveeeeeeee them all...they're gorgeous I have to say. Now I just have to find time in between my billion exams to paint my nails...I'm thinking one colour a day..talk about procastination rite.
